2020 Wedding Dress Trends

a tee time

Published on June 24th, 2020

While this wedding season certainly looks a bit different than usual, many brides will still be getting into their white dresses at our Logan Square wedding venue this year! Some styles such as off-the-shoulder, deep v-neck, and A-line dresses are timeless, and will no doubt be seen on plenty of brides this year. However, this year’s fashion week featured some unique options that are definitely worth trying.

Bridal Blazers

This year, many brides may opt-out of the traditional long dress and look for an elegant white blazer look instead. At 2020 fashion week, many shows featured a “businesswoman meets bridal” look, with models walking in blazer dresses, lace blazers, and even power suits. This look is perfect for any bride looking to show off their unique personal style.

Old Hollywood Glam

Old Hollywood glam looks are making a comeback! Get ready to see some classic Hollywood waves and a subtle red lip, in addition to satin ball gowns, gloves and Art-Deco inspired looks. This “new wave” of Old Hollywood glam ball gowns will put a modern spin on the classic look, perhaps with extra embellishments in the form of belts, headpieces, and jewelry.

Dramatic Sleeves

In 2019, and even in previous years, we saw dramatic sleeves become a prevalent trend amongst brides at our Logan Square wedding venue. This year, a new wave of Renaissance-inspired gowns are creating a very romantic, dramatic look. Gowns may even feature a light floral pattern, or a light pink or coral coloring.

High-Low Hemlines

One style that keeps coming back just when we think it may be gone for good is back again in 2020. High-low asymmetrical hemlines were featured in nearly every collection at fashion week, often updated with ruffles on the hemline. This look is perfect for any brides looking to put a fun, flirty spin on their big day.
